New Bond Capital is an iconic South African focused black economically empowered investment holding company listed on the main board of the JSE. Since September 2009, New Bond Capital has implemented an investment strategy focused on unlocking value for shareholders.
In January 2012, Blackstar Group acquired 28% of Mvela Group, now New Bond Capital, becoming the single largest investor. In addition, two of Blackstar’s executives were appointed to the New Bond Capital board and assumed the roles of interim chief executive officer and financial director with a view to unbundling and continuing to realise the value of New Bond Capital's remaining investment portfolio in the most efficient manner.
